Search Server and Code Reuse

Abstract: Whether looking for information, instruction, or a solution, most developers instinctively consult the Web when faced with a problem or challenge. Often, especially in large organizations, another team has already solved the same or similar problem. Borland Search allows your organization to search inward for a solution before looking outward. Additionally, you can quickly locate information regarding problems and their solutions. With this data you can reduce the time spent researching a problem and promote code re-use within your organization.

Jerry Odenwelder has over 11 years experience designing and developing software on both Windows and Unix platforms. He has designed and built distributed applications for the telecommunications, financial, insurance, transportation, and software development industries. In addition to his work at Borland, he currently serves as secretary for the Atlanta Chapter of the IEEE Computer Society.
