CaliberRM: Best Practices for Using Use Cases

Abstract: This session covers importing/converting use cases, suggested templates for flows, what to include for RVP, and establishing traces.

Betty Luedke is an accomplished project manager, requirements analyst, and facilitator with 22 years experience in the software development industry. Her broad experience in the analysis, design, and development of object-oriented, relational, and hierarchical data systems for consumer finance, engineering, and medical functions has enabled her to effectively keep the user foremost when applying requirements management (RM) best practices in real product development situations. Betty is a principal consultant for Borland where she: instructs/mentors on CaliberRM and RM processes and techniques; is certified to teach the Karl Wiegers' course, "In Search of Excellent Requirements"; develops requirement management and change management processes; conducts process gap analysis making recommendations for improvements; and, develops RM implementation strategies and mentors client implementation personnel.

Before joining Borland, Betty was a senior systems consultant for The Associates providing team management for project development/business analysis, a senior data architect for Burlington Northern Railroad providing data analysis/database implementation, and a computer systems specialist for Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) providing enterprise functional/data analysis. Betty holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics/Education from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida with additional coursework in Computer Science.
